I've been learning English since I was 5 years old, and it's been a lifelong journey. This language has taken me to incredible places, both figuratively and literally.
I honed my skills to become a specialist in marketing translation from English to Portuguese and from Spanish to Portuguese. I also provide translations from Portuguese to English in specific areas.
From teacher to translator
Teaching English at a local school for four years after graduating with a degree in Portuguese and English Literature from the Federal University of Roraima was an incredible experience. It allowed me to hone my communication skills and develop my teaching practice, but I knew I needed to delve even deeper to take my skills to the next level.
In 2018, I was awarded a prestigious Fulbright scholarship . As a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) at the University of Arkansas , I taught Portuguese to American students and took courses in Translation and Creative Writing at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This experience was a turning point for me. In addition to gaining valuable knowledge about American culture , I had the opportunity to improve my language skills and refine my translation techniques .
In 2020, I completed my postgraduate degree in English Translation from Estácio de Sá University , which broadened my ability to translate highly specialized texts.
Although I have experience with legal, financial, and documentary translation , I have gradually become increasingly specialized in Marketing and Sales, Education, and Tourism .
As I am always looking for ways to broaden my linguistic horizons, in 2020 I also managed to add Spanish to my working languages , and this experience has been very positive.
Currently, I am an intermediate-level Mandarin student and find the Chinese language and culture fascinating. I am excited to continue on this journey and, through my language services, help others advance on their own paths.
